Information

The arrival of numerous new infectious diseases -emerging ones- with fast and changing patterns of spread, and often with a strong impact on the healthcare system, has been the norm in the last decade: this is the case of the Flu A, Ebola, Zika fever, Crimea-Congo, and SARS-CoV-2.

These diseases have challenged both healthcare professionals and managers, forcing them to adapt in a structural and economic context that was often rigid prior to the COVID-19 era.

The course aims to provide up-to-date training on emerging epidemiological and healthcare challenges, with the goal of strengthening the adaptability, responsiveness, and coordination of the healthcare system and its professionals. This training initiative aligns with the Global Health (One Health) approach, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration as a key tool for the prevention, detection, and management of emerging and re-emerging diseases.
